Recently when I post original stuff it gets kind of unnoticed. I want to draw some fanart or fan comic but I just don’t know what… Currently I don’t even obsess over anything and it feels hollow.

If you want something to obsess over, go read Good Omens! It’s a satirical novel by two of my favorite authors, it’s about the Apocalypse, and it’s funny as hell. Although published in 1990, it’s just as relevant today, and I hear there’s a TV adaptation coming out later this year!

Highlights:

One week to prevent the end of the world

Thank you for recommendation! I appreciate it although I already know this book and also look forward to see the tv adaptation (it’s starring David Tennant as demon)

But you know, speaking about favorite authors, I guess I just really want to get into some book series like discworld but most book series that are popular these days aim for younger readers, and although it usually doesn’t bother me when something has younger target audience than me, it’s different when it’s with books.

I don’t know, it just would be nice to be a part of some fandom again..

I don’t think Winry gets enough credit as a genius. Like, automail would need her to understand engineering, robotics, anatomy, and particularly how nervous systems work, and she’s technically a surgeon. She was already a regular helper at Pinako’s shop when she was 11. At 15, she walked into a town full of top automail experts and impressed all but one of them with a rush-order arm she’d made. Then, she took over one person’s shop so thoroughly, her customers won’t even let someone else make the outer casings. On top of that, she read medical books as a child and not only understood them, but retained enough of it to successfully deliver a baby years later even though that had nothing to do with her preferred field. And she didn’t have any help from the Truth.

Winry might not be an alchemist, but she’s a medical and engineering genius and somebody needs to tell her that right now.

Fun fact that a lot of people dont know about the Kachina logo:

When the first Winnipeg team relocated, the new Coyotes owners met with local indigenous leaders and artists to design the Kachina logo we all know and love today, in order to be regionally and culturally respectful.

The image itself is a representation of the Hopi trickster spirit, Coyote. Now, you may question the wisdom of naming your hockey team after a trickster spirit, but we’re already way past that.

The angular design itself is based off of the Hopi Kachina dolls, figures made from cottonwood root representing spirits, forces of nature, or ancestors of the Hopi tribe. Be aware that different tribes in the Pueblo culture have their own Kachina dolls with their own styling, and the logo was drawn to genuinely Hopi.

The jerseys themselves take inspiration from a different tribe. The iconic patterning around the waist, collar, and sleeves are drawn from the famous blankets of the Navajo tribe.
